The foods I prepared for myself to watch Australian Open finals. Though I'm disappointed that Nadal lost, I can't deny that it was the greatest tennis game I've ever watched by far. It was thrilling and so intense that from time to time, I divert myself to just read the score update on the net rather than face the tv. Wtf right? Hahaha!

Sleep Over (Updated)

Had an awesome unplanned sleepover with my cousins last friday night! It's just supposed to be a karaoke night at Janice's place but our driver to send us home didn't show up because of stupid poker game, we decided to just talk until morning then. Actually, we only lasted up until 5am but everyone was dizzy with sleepiness so we gave in and slept! I drag myself out of bed around 8am hurrying to go home, bid my cousins goodbye and they woke up dreamily just to say 'bye. see you sa fiesta.' and went back to snore some more. :)

Janice provided us flowery satin nighties and we declined it asking for t-shirts and pajamas instead. She pulled out things in her husbands closet then (her hubby's currently in Norway). Ching2x, Wangkai and me agreed that it is more comfortable to wear old and roomier sized sleepwear.

In a short while, the whole Philippines will be welcoming the year 2012 and I am just posting a quick entry before I go out of the house and watch the neighbors AWESOME display of fireworks and feast again with in-laws for Media Noche. It's my first time to spend the last day of the year here in Lagao and it feels sorta weird. It's because I am so used to be around my parents and siblings during this time of the year. But I'm with Jokas so, that is already enough to be contented.

In review, my 2011 was not my best year because, horrendously, I slept a lot. Ate unhealthy foods a lot. Wasted money a lot. Furrowed my brow a lot. Cried a lot. Been disappointed a lot. Discouraged a lot. Cursed a lot. Dreamed a lot. Played games online a lot. Procrastinated a lot. Yes, it has been a very unproductive year.

I am thankful and grateful though for the good health, safety and prosperity of my family. And in an ironic retrospection, I can say that I experienced/received most of what I prayed for.

No New Year resolutions list for me next year because, really, I end up breaking those stuffs. So why bother? But I will make 2012 MY GREAT YEAR! Just wait and see! One's hoping that 2012 would give me more of life's sweet surprises! :)

Here's to a healthier, happier and luckier year for me and my family. And to all my friends and readers of this shallow blog, may all your wishes and dreams come true too!!! Cheers everyone!!!

Celebrated the most fun holiday again with my family. I am delighted to hand my presents to their equally delighted receivers. And though I did not expect to receive any, they too had something nicely wrapped for me. The things I got were mostly in pink! From slippers to pajamas to lotions to bath soaps/gels to shorts! There's one black t-shirt from Mossimo but the print is in pink too! Lol! Do I really appear so 'girly' to everyone? Wtf?!

Lip Gloss Addiction

I didn't realize I carry too many lip gloss in my bag! Others are not even opened yet! It only means --- my bag's a mess! And yes, I just dump everything in there. Hahaha!

As you all know, I'm not a fan of make-ups and honestly, I really don't know how to paint my face pretty and I absolutely think that it requires too much effort so, I pathetically do not own a make-up set. The only thing though that I will always carry and would go out without is a lip gloss. I vehemently dislike to feel my lips chapped. I get restless I swear!

Gosh! It's been weeks since my last post! Sorry! It's not because I lack pictures or events to post but, I am actually spending much of my time at my parents house and we do not have internet connection there. And if I do get home here in Lagao, I'm wasting my time playing The Sims Social on Facebook. Just look at my swanky house! Hahaha!

Anyway, I've been a very good Tita lately. Since I'm spending most of the week at Uhaw, it is given that I will be the tutor/babysitter/photographer of my two pamangkin. Photos below.

And yesterday, after we finished shopping for Christmas gifts, Jokas treated me to Coco’s South Bistro. It's delicious and surprisingly affordable! Generous servings too! Orders: Triple Cheese Pizza, Beef Taco and Linguini Carbonara with Bacon.

Well, I will be in Uhaw again later to help tutor/review my nephew for his upcoming exam. Bye for now!

I can't wait to wrap the things we bought and give them away on Christmas day. Advance Merry Christmas! :)

This place is great for a brief getaway. It's neat, it's affordable and it's white sand beach is just awesome. And most importantly, all the staffs are pleasant, accommodating and efficient. I recommend everyone who will visit Davao to head over Samal for a very refreshing day!

Italianni's Restaurant

Italianni's Restaurant is one of the newest restaurants in Abreeza, Davao. Since I'm always on the lookout for a new taste, me and hubby dined there for lunch. I tell you, though they have good customer service and cozy environment, their food doesn't come cheap. We paid more than one thousand pesos for just ordering a Quattro Formaggio Pizza and a Chicken-and-Fish Skewer (regular water for drinks), and the taste is actually forgettable. The servings very little too! But, it's still worth a try nonetheless.

There are two girls wearing cute color wigs (albeit impersonating Japanese girls) that caught Jokas's attention at SM Davao yesterday. He pointed it out to me because he knows I would like to own some of those pretty fake hairs. Yeah, it may look so 'drag' to others but it'll be fun, really! Let out you inner Lady Gaga and sing 'Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-Roma-ma-ah! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la! Want your bad romance!' See? it's fun! Lol!

After few seconds though of ogling from afar, I move closer to have a better look and got somewhat curious of what they are selling. We even asked them how to eat it (ignorant?!). The girls happily explained to let it soften a little bit then you just bite into it. As you can see, it's not the usual ice cream placed on cones. It's actually an ice cream covered in colorful Mochi! So cute and so soft it wouldn't hurt your teeth. I bought Azuki Red Bean for Jokas and Mango flavor for me to try and we both like it!

This is definitely included now in my list of favorites! :)

5K Milo Marathon

Joined the 35th National Milo Marathon today. For the first time (hoping not my last! lol! ), I included myself to do something worthwhile because by participating in the race, you also help donate running shoes to underprivileged children.

You can expect that I'll be the last person to sign up for any physical games/events because, you see, I am not a sporty person at all. I detest exercising for the reason that it requires too much effort and I honestly do not like the feeling of sweating profusely. I have to admit too that I'm so lame and clumsy that I couldn't win any contest.

There was one time during 6th grade, nobody wanted me in the team because they said I'm no good and I will just help them lose the game. My then-bestfriend reasoned-out to other classmates to include me because if we win, I will treat them food at the canteen (bribery at such a young age!).

Of course that never happened. Me and my bestfriend kept laughing the entire time and it distracted other team members. And expectedly, we, or rather 'I', was again blamed for the loss. Horrible classmates! Hahaha! Anyway, that's history and I'm still not very active today (hence the nasty cellulites!).

Last week though, we received a message that some of Jokas' relatives from Surigao are coming over to join the 21K Milo Run. We too decided to register for 5K run to join them. To be honest, I only agreed for, you know, Facebook purposes. Hahaha!

Anyway, I finished the race in 1hour and 4minutes. 5K runners are given 1hour time frame, So what if I'm a four minute behind. Hey, It's my first time! Mind you, I didn't run nor jog (Okay, I ran for the first 5minutes but that's it!), I kept walking alone because Jokas and sister Boni are already far ahead of me and I need to catch up on my ragged breathing! Lol! I must've walked really fast because I can still see people behind me. I'll do better next year promise!

To win the race guys and for extra energy, drink Milo everyday! :)

The best part of it all?! We ate halo-halo at Chowking after the race! Oh, what a treat!

30th Birthday

Jokas and I usually celebrated our birthdays eating out OR going to a white-sand beach in Davao with just the two of us. But this year is rather different. We currently are at home therefore, we celebrated it exclusively with our family.

I actually can't make up my mind on what to prepare up until the last minute. Jokas wanted me cook pastas (I decided on red-sauced baked fusili and carbonara linguini) so, I heartily made that because he rarely request what he wants, and bought everything else: a double-dutch cake, 36" Calda Pizza, pork barbecue, shanghai rolls, sepo guisado, roasted chicken and a pork lechon. His mom too, made macaroni salad and bought fresh lumpia!

With the abundance of delicious food laid on the table, I'm glad that everyone present ate with gusto.

Happy birthday to the person who can put up with my weirdness and bitchiness! Lol! I love you baby!

Pearl Farm Beach Resort

I've been thinking of booking a room at Pearl Farm Beach Resort again. It's the one place me and Jokas feels that we need to go back to this place and enjoy the glorious beach. But it is quite expensive. And I haven't got a job to pay for a little 'romantic getaway' which is, honestly speaking, depressing. Yes, I got some money stashed somewhere however, I meant that to be spent for family's Christmas parties and presents.

To comfort myself of depriving a very nice out-of-town vacation, I'm going to share pictures of our previous stay Pearl Farm Beach Resort.

A very nice beach right? And I must say, Philippines has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

Did you notice the dog near the cottage on the picture? While my sister and I are preparing for our breakfast, we saw him slipped on the safety line, swam to the shore, walked back to the cottage and look far away the sea. So we wondered that maybe he's looking for food or maybe he just love the water so much or he simply want to daydream.

We found out in the afternoon that the dog's master is actually fishing and his loyal dog is there to wait for his return.

Manila Trip

Had a three day trip to Manila earlier this week. My friend Mistica had a very important appointment at the British Embassy and since it'll be her first time traveling to Luzon, she considerately asked me to chaperone her. I am quite familiar with the country's main city and I kind of miss the hustle-and-bustle of an urban life therefore, it was much to my delight.

Below are photos inside BSA Tower - Makati. Agoda gave a very good deal and showed positive reviews from former customers so I immediately grabbed the chance to book it while cheaper rooms are still available. When we got there, Mistica and I were pleasantly surprised to know that this hotel is very spacious, clean and safe. They also provide guests with cable tv, stove, water heater, oven, rice cooker, refrigerator and 2 AC's - all are perfectly working.

After submitting all necessary documents to the Embassy, we have the rest of the day for ourselves to visit Manila Ocean Park and SM Mall of Asia. I'm happy to see Mistica getting amazed looking at sting rays, sharks, jellies, seals and other fishes. As you know, we both share the same passion for beautiful sea creatures because we spent half of our lives playing and swimming at sea near our childhood place.

I was also very eager to show her the sunset at Manila Bay because it is really awesome, but to my annoyance, we only witnessed cloudy skies due to this weeks sporadic rain. :(

We just sat at the bay though, talked, took photos and people-watched until it went dark and got very hungry.

Decided to dine al fresco at Pepper Lunch and it was truly satisfying. I really like it when my food sizzles! :)

Our last day was very relaxed. We woke up late, heated our instant noodles, chatted about the hiccups that happened the previous day, took a hot bath, checked out the hotel and headed to NAIA 3hours before our scheduled flight.

While inside the airport and waiting for boarding time, we found a good seat at Chaikofi and grabbed a quick bite. Their sandwiches, pastas and drinks are a bit expensive for such little serving. It doesn't taste THAT good either.

To Mistica, thanks for having me to accompany you and to John for allowing this to happen. It wouldn't be a memorable trip without hilarious little bumps along the way: (Myti, nearly having a heart attack, poised thrown out of the window and over reacting after being told that it's an incorrect recipients name on the cheque and we have to run as fast as 'Superman' to the nearest bank to purchase a new managers cheque. Me, almost losing my 'antique' Nokia handphone for good, And both of us stupidly entering BSA Suites instead BSA Tower, which is actually on the next block - was a very 'Wow Mali!' moment! hahahah!).

In the end, we are safely back home, can now laugh about what we've been through and be thankful for the positive results that just arrived. :)

There was one time Eileen, our office Sales Manager, asked me if I would like some tea. Though I was never the person to drink such beverage (being Pinoy, It's just wasn't in my culture), I politely said 'yes'. And after awhile, she came over to my desk with a cup of tea that smelled so sweet, fruity and invigorating - I got "hooked-up" since then.

Met up with Jonah first and had a good talk and good laughs while sipping our Frappuccino's in front of the Marina Bay Sands. I can now agree that downtown area is much more captivating at night!

Kaye, as a Sales Executive, toured yours truly and Jonah around the resto and introduced us to all of the employees. I can see a lot of Pinoy working there and they were very friendly.

And though we already had our fill at Starbucks, Kaye still insisted that we should choose foods to try. We are hesitant to make an order because its a little bit pricey, but she ordered crepes for us nonetheless! And I'm telling you, it was the best crepe I've tasted thus far! I kept stuffing my mouth with it and raved how good it was to anyone! I promise to go back and dine there again. :)

I went home very happy and thankful for good company and good food.

Ching's last week here in Singapore.

At the Helix Bridge and Marina Bay Sands. We walked around and marveled the city's coolest Architecture.

At first, I was hesitant to ride the Singapore Flyer because 1.) I find the $30 admission fee very expensive and 2.) I already saw the whole skyline while atop the Marina Bay Sands. But my cousin persuaded me to try it and I don't want to disappoint her because she's been talking non-stop about this over the phone the day before. While we were suspended at the top though, our conversation went like this:

-What if we're asked to break the glasses and come down manually?

-What if there's an earthquake to cause the Flyer to break and fall?

-What if we suddenly see a helicopter hovering in front of us urging us to jump in because Flyer machine got stuck due to blackout?

-What if the capsule we are in get struck by lightning?

-What if the only choice to live is to jump into the water?

And all sorts of morbid things we can think of. Hahaha! We're giving ourselves a fright. It added fun really. I guess you can't really avoid those scenarios by putting yourself in a very delicate position. So it was such a relief when we are finally out of the flyer.

Joined now by my friend Jonah, we spent our lovely Saturday at Universal Studios Singapore. The three of us were giddy like overly excited kids as we enter the themed park. All of us agreed that we should go to every shows and demanded that all the rides be tried, no matter how crazy. :)

It was sooo much fun! I'm blessed and happy. Thank you Lord! :)

My Friday started with a very crushing result and it kinda put me in a rather depressive mode. With a heavy heart and a clear thought to brush few life's disappointments aside, I stepped out and headed to the mall nearby.

Saw a musician named Shibaten entertaining passersby outside Tampines MRT Station. I highly respect those artists who travels around the world just to be heard or seen.

When I'm bored, I typically hang out at grocery stores (very domesticated. lol!). and look what I found! Shark Fillet! Isn't that supposed to be illegal or something?

Came home around 7pm and was greeted by uncle Andy saying "Do not cook food tonight because I'll buy outside." And he was gone for half an hour and brought KFC meals for all of us!

We kept asking uncle why he treated us and he shyly answered "my 55th birthday". We gladly sang the birthday song for him and asked for his wish. Turning serious, he said "I just wish for a good life" then he looks at me and added "I also wish you good luck and hope that you will find soon what it is that you're looking for." I was touched and almost cried. Hahaha! scene-stealer! Happy birthday again uncle! Here he is with son Galvin.

Met up with Aldrin on the first day, the first person who walked with me and showed me what Singapore is like. He's actually the only available person on that day because my friends were in their respective offices and my cousin had a job interview in the morning. It was very nice of him to accompany me.

Rango Movie

Clark saw the Rango trailer before the movie Tangled was played @ Robinsons. When it was also advertised in Nickelodeon channel, he didn't stop asking everyone present at home if it's already showing in the cinemas. We of course waited for his exams and school week to be finished before we took him out to watch.

About the movie though - Yes, there were some laughs especially in the beginning but as it progressed, it made my nephew count all the stairs and even the chairs inside the cinema.

When Japan was hit by an 8.9 magnitude quake followed by a tsunami (rolling as fast as a jetliner! (800km/h (500mph) - according to BBC), I was spending my Friday with my Family in Uhaw. Our jaws dropped while watching the news. We saw when enermous wave surged in and swept away houses, cars, trains, bridges and sadly.., even people. It was devastating. Scary. Unreal. And heartbreaking.

Japan may be 100% efficient if an earthquake strikes, but no one can really anticipate the horrors it will bring if Mother Nature is in action. My thoughts and prayers to those everyone affected by this and may God be with us and answer our prayers.

Tuesday night, one of Pizza Hut's staffs greeted me at the entrance of KCC mall and gave out a flyer which is very intriguing.

I thought "It's too good to be true" and ruled out to dine there with my sister.

Hers: Cream of Mushroom+Spaghetti Bolognese w/ Meatballs+Shirley Temple

Full servings! She had a hard time finishing her bolognese. I forced her to. Lol!

My pasta was satisfying! First time to taste blue curacao! Yay!

I'll be dragging hubby or my friends or my sisters for a Supreme Dinner again soon. Customers can actually save over 50% on the entire meal, I concurred that it's really a great Pizza Hut deal.

Clark saw several pictures of his mom jumping in midair and he wants to have a photo taken like that too. As you know, I'm the supportive Aunt so I instantly complied.

When it's time for him to do his stunt - I always capture him already landed on the floor (obviously don't know how to adjust the camera settings). But he persevered and urges me to try it one more time. I think he jumped for 30minutes and kept checking the photos I took in between. He was all sweaty and grasping for air after all that, and complained "I got a headache!" Hahaha!

Tuesday afternoon, a group of kids rounded up outside our house in Uhaw carrying some slingshot, slippers and stones to hit at something. Wondering what they're up to, I asked why. And they answered that there's a big bird taking shelter on our tree.

I am irrationally terrified of anything that has feathers so I called my sister to check on it.

And there it was. Just sitting on a branch, obviously wary of the audiences below.

Determine to keep it from further harm, my sister climbed up to get it. Yes, the bird did put up a fight to no avail because it got injured somewhere.

Mamang was all for keeping it as a pet for my nephew and niece but I argued that it should be returned to the wild where it can freely fly and hunt.

After 2 days, my sister and I brought the bird in Lagao so that we can give it to DENR which they said is located in Buayan. Had second thoughts on the last minute because we're told they don't have the correct facility. We're still checking though, if we know for sure that DENR's going to take good care of it, then we'll give it to them. If not, we'll give it to the bird sanctuaries around town. If we can't find a nice sanctuary, then maybe the bird will have to reside here permanently, where he'll be safe and fed everyday.

Jokas and my father-in-law said that the bird might actually be a Philippine Hawk. Pardon my ignorance, I see no difference between a Hawk and an Eagle. They just look scarily the same to me. :)

Bird won't fly away, so we figured that there's something wrong.

Last month I asked my cousin, who's currently residing in Orange County Calif. and will be spending the holidays here in the Phils., to purchase a 32G iPad for me. She gladly obliged and I agreed that payment will be given the moment she hand the item.

The iPad was supposed to be a surprise for Jokas but sadly, he has the "knack of knowing things" ahead of time. In defense, he said I was very obvious and kept dropping hints. Hahah! I might as well! HP7 Deathly Hallows

I love JK Rowling so much that I consider her goddess of fantasy novels. I patiently waited and reserved all her hard-bound books due to be released(I buried myself in it). I watch all the movies on its opening day. I adored the casts. I want to go to UK just to see some areas where they shot the scenes. And I even want to learn(and be great at) all the spells/charms/curses/jinxes and definitely wants to be in Gryffindor house(seem like a happy bunch). Seriously! I'm proud to say that I am a huge Harry Potter fan. Just like everyone else.

Today, I watched the Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie with Jokas at MovieWorld. Hubby hasn't read the books and for that reason I think he can't grasp how the story goes. I thought that I should've gone alone so that I don't have to worry if he's bored or sleepy or hungry or annoyed. I absolutely wanna cast a Petrificus Totalus on him just because he move so much on his chair and kept glancing at me while I'm at my most "emo" moment. Hahaha!

SPOILER ALERT: ✌

I like that the director included the scene where Hermione wiped her parents memory of her to protect them and seeing her sadly walking away from her house to a dangerous journey. I unexpectedly choked on that part.
Is it just me or Harry Potter doesn't look very disturbed and desperate to find/get rid of Horcruxes, does he?
As always, Ron Weasley is very funny.
I thought Ginny Weasley was a bit slutty when she asked Harry to zip up her dress.
Draco Malfoy delivered exactly what book 7 described of him. And Malfoy Manor is sooo huge!
I was a little bit uncomfortable when Harry and Hermione danced inside the tent. They're very close and I thought they're going to kiss!
As usual, Helena Bonham Carter is in her element as Bellatrix Lestrange.
I remember being very emotional when Harry and Hermione visited the Potter's graveyard at Godric's Hollow and when Dobby died after arriving at Shell Cottage. But no, I didn't feel any of that in the movie.
I agree that actor Bill Nighy, who rightly embodied the character as the Minister of Magic, is very outstanding.
I found it hilarious when wizards/witches have to step on the toilet bowl and flush themselves in order to gain entry to the Ministry of Magic.
It's epic when Voldemort casted a very powerful spell using the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's grave. Aaaahhh! I can barely wait for Part 2!

In totality, I'm glad that the film stuck to the essentials of Book 7. I am not disappointed at all. In fact, it is weirdly comforting and I'm planning to watch it again this weekend.

My father, who's a boxing fan ever since, availed the Pay-per-view channel and made a little business out of it. Astoundingly, our neighbors and laborers came and paid 50pesos entrance fee to watch the show.

And this is what our place looked like this morning...

Nov 8. Lunch at Grab-A-Crab with Anna and Mistica

Nov 11. Anna invited us to have dinner at their place for Kali and Ray-An's Bday Celebration.

She told me to invite some of our HS classmates so I literally dragged Mary Ann, Mistica, Genalin and Angelou with me. Lol! I'm glad to have spent time with these pretty ladies too!

You really just can't have a decent conversation with Mary Ann around. Fun, fun, fun night! ❤

First time in Manila Ocean Park!

We're lucky the place is not fully packed because most of the people went to their provinces to celebrate All Soul's Day.

Inside Dancing Sea Fairies. It's over the top therapeutic! If I get shamelessly rich one day, I'll have jellyfish in my bedroom.

Enjoyed the sea lion show too. They'll tell the audiences not to pollute the ocean so everything can live cleanly and peacefully. ❤

Me and my sister were addicted to freshly squeezed Orange juice!

We bought a lot @ MOA Grocery and carried it everywhere.

While walking back to our hotel from the Mall Of Asia, we suddenly wondered why the surroundings turned to color orange. Only then I realized that the Sun is setting on the Manila Bay horizon. We paused and glorified how amazing it was. Sadly, I didn't record it on my camera. I never want to look away for even a second because it was toooo beautiful.

Sbarro!!! My favorite pizza chain!

Craving for some Sbarro pizza right now. Can someone own a franchise over here in GenSan. I will surely frequent it. Promise!

Bought Cinnabon(World Famous Cinnamon Rolls!) at the airport for people back home. It is truly THE SWEETEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE!

I was in Manila last Oct 30 until Nov 1 to fetch my sister @ the airport from abroad. And this is the hotel where we stayed in.

Mall of Asia (SM MOA) is a short distance away.

I was able to attend Mass in Archdiocesan Shrine Of Jesus, The Way, The Truth And The Life. It's a walking distance from the hotel too!

Review: Overall, our stay at Microtel was comfortable and we felt safe walking in and out of the hotel. It's new. It's very neat. And most of all, security guards, staffs at the Restaurant and the bellboy who carried our luggages are very polite and seemed very happy with their job.
If you're planning to stay here, you have to note though that they do not offer free airport transfers, other hotels located in Pasay with the same room rates are glad to do that for their customers.

I also just gotta share my little disappointment over misleading information.

I found out about Microtel through Google and checked if I can afford the room rates listed in the website. I thought it is reasonable enough so I considered staying at this hotel since it is conveniently located near the Airport, MOA and Ocean Park.

The moment that we landed in Manila, I called and inquired at the hotel if they still have the cheapest available room. And the friendly girl named "Arian" answered with "Yes". I told her to reserve one for us and informed them that we're actually on our way. When we arrived at the place after 15minutes, this is what transpired...

Me: "Hi. Good morning. I called earlier to see if there's still Double City View room available for 2days stay?"

Arian: "Yes we do have one. Hold on." She went to her pregnant supervisor (I'm not sure if she is the supervisor but she has the air of superiority so I'm assuming she is. I also forgot to check her name tag ☹) and ask in a whispered tone about my concern. She came back to me after a minute and said "Sorry ma'am, but only Double Sunset View room for 5,000 pesos is available now."

Me: "I was told meron pang City View. Are you sure?"

Arian. "Yes po."

Me: "What's the price of the cheapest room ba?"

Arian: "4,500 po with free breakfast."

Me: "Really? In your website it says 3,000+ pesos."

Arian: "Ay hindi po. 4,500 pesos yung City View."
She didn't even inform me if it is cheaper or if they are having a promo if you reserve online. Then I would have understood the whole situation.

Upon hearing that information, I just sighed heavily and rolled my eyes. I fancied walking out that time and find another hotel really. But it's going to cost me not only money but another "manila-hassle"(I kept reminding taxi drivers to start the fucking meter!). Considering we're on site and in dire need of rest because I felt sick being on a plane, I registered to temporarily reside there.

Upon our check out though, I was able to get one of the leaflets displayed on the Reception counter and this is what I found out.

I only paid 5,000 pesos for each night that we stayed. And perusing the print material that has a different and higher price, It baffles me why the information on the website, the front desk and leaflets are not the same.

They have a HUGE and Foreigner-friendly Airport

Commuting is an absolute breeze! Just purchase Octopus Card to pay the fare on buses, trams, trains and it is also accepted in some stores. It's a Hongkers everyday must-have!

Colorful and neat subways!

Highly efficient transportation. I guess there's no room for tardiness here.

A shopping haven! Get your fill at Nathan Road or Mong Kok!

Bored and in dire need of some girl talk, I texted Myti for lunch and she replied in a heartbeat! I think she knows and feels that I'm going to text her. Hahaha!!!

We chose Little Kitchen for our foodtrip today. It's newly opened, the waitress said. It is located along Quirino Ave, Gen. Santos City

Waiter gave us a basket of complimentary Garlic Bread to munch while we wait for our order. Gesture appreciated.

My order: Baked Potatoes and Chocolate Shake.
It doesn't look nice in the photo but I swear it tastes really good.

Myti tried their Cordon Bleu toppings. She said she liked it and I'm not gonna argue that.

Everybody seems to make this date a big deal so I'm also listing what happened to me today.

5.30am Woke up from a dream that involves me flirting with somebody's husband. Yikes!

6.30am Creeping in my parents bedroom to kiss my nephew an excellent morning.

7.00am Breakfast with the family (that shrimp sinigang was too good to pass up).

7.30am Preparing to go to church.

8:00am Realized I had an unwanted visitor (screw you!)

9:00am Attended second mass. Late again!

10.00am Went to KCC Mall, fed nephew Arrozcaldo at KFC and bought gift wraps for Christmas. Made a snide comment to a guy who packed what I bought. I really felt horrible afterwards. I should have kept my mouth shut or apologized to him or stayed calm because it's unfair for me to say something like that. I still feel awful until now. :(

11.30am Went to Gaisano to look for the heart shaped necklace my nephew wanted to buy.

12.15nn Went to Robinsons to look again for the heart shaped necklace.

1:20pm Watched Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole at Movieworld.

3.00pm Scoured the mall again for the friggin' heart shaped necklace. Found one at Kids Department. Finally nephew was happy.

4.00pm Went home.

6.00pm Attended an intimate birthday celebration.

9.00pm Back home. Bathed. Checked social networks. Updating blog. Ready to sleep now.
